Reading 5-7 Arsenal
Arsenal sealed an incredible comeback win against Reading in the Capital One Cup with Theo Walcottbagging a hat-trick in the process.
Jason Roberts, a Laurent Koscielny own goal, Mikele Leigertwood and Noel Hunt had put Reading 4-0 up after 35 minutes and Walcott's first goal was Arsenal's first reposte in first half injury time to see the sides into the break with the score 4-1.
The introduction of Olivier Giroud and Thomas Eisfeld just after the hour saw Arsenal dominate the rest of the game. Giroud scored a hearer from a corner a minute after his introduction but it wasn't until the 89th minute that Laurent Koscielny got Arsenal's third, again heading home from a corner.
With almost 95 minutes played, Marouane Chamakh nodded down for Theo Walcott whose shot crossed the line despite the best efforts of Nicky Shorey. Carl Jenkinson rifled the rebound home to send the game into extra time.
Chamakh put Arsenal ahead after 103 minutes, only for a seemingly deflated Reading to make it 5-5 when Pavel Pogrebnyak headed home.
However, Arsenal's resurgence would not be stopped as in injury time, Walcott fired home after Andrey Arshavin's shot was cleared off the line and Chamakh got his second of the night with a late breakaway lob over Adam Federici.
And this Arsenal fan who was pictured leaving by the Sky cameras made sure everyone knew he was only leaving to get a few drinks.
